@khahan Yeah thats what I was insinuating - the card is severely bugged in multiple ways at the moment. You CAN cast cards during an opponent's turn (and use phyrexian mana for it, so every misstep etc. in the yard is live, but you CANNOT cast spells for their alternate costs and if you try to (when you right click to cast you can choose to pay mana or alternate costs), it will have you pay BOTH the alternate cost and the mana cost.
I also don't believe you can use alternate casting costs while it's in the graveyard - wasn't able to gush without paying 5 or pay FoW's alternate cost instead of mana, regardless of which turn it was. However, when I selected the option to pay alternate costs, it had me pay the mana AND exile a blue card/lose life.
Just released on mtgo, I think it might be bugged since it was letting me play a spell from gy on opponent's turn, which, unless I'm reading the card wrong, shouldn't be doable? She seemed really nice in the games I got to cast her, though (grixis thieves shell).
To be fair, Diablo 3 is a pretty easy game as far as computer specs go. My computer is a few years old but runs 20+ chrome tabs, WoW, Dota 2, MTGO, OBS, and whatever other stuff I don't bother to close just fine. Occasionally there's a memory leak or something and I have to reopen it but that's about the extent of my complaints with MTGO.
I stream when I can actually play a daily or occasionally when playing in TP for my friends to watch at www.twitch.tv/mierineronaile
Be warned, I stream a decent amount of dota 2 as well and usually forget to change the game on twitch so apologies in advance for that.
Nice write-up on the deck. It's very similar to how I tweaked Joe Brennan's list to deal with the same problems, although I aimed a bit more at shops/hatebears matchups while still keeping the pet planeswalker in (I love Narset as a card even though she's probably not the best card to put in that slot).
@Topical_Island That is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! I have thought of a lot of those scenarios in the few games I have played but laying stuff out and comparing them like that is great. @Islandswamp I have read pretty much all of your articles, they are awesome. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, I'll be sure to check those out. I've been watching Rich's vods the past week or so and the other vintage streams are also appreciated. I'm not particularly worried about buying into a deck since it appears most of the expensive pieces (besides shops?) are used in a lot of different decks and I have lots of items from trading dota items/league accounts/wow stuff to sell, so I'll probably just watch some more until I can decide on a deck and then go ahead and buy it, then get my ass kicked around like @NinjaDazed said. Not much is more helpful for improving than actual playing, after all.
