A few weeks ago @ChubbyRain played this deck. I have no clue how he did because I didn't watch, but The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale and Bojuka Bog seem like the only damn cards left that Dredge doesn't build to sidestep in a post-London world. Bonus points for stunting on anyone brewing with Mystic Gate (EDIT: Mystic Forge. Thanks unremarkable WotC card names!) a la Force of Vigor.
@anonymous that list get several points for style but I do not believe that I can pull that off like the Dragonlord
You're trying to be defeatist when in reality his list is just this deck from the week prior with changes based on what he's learned playing it. Don't put decks on a pedestal just because you don't have the pedigree of the pilot.
If Myco Lattice is in play, you can any nonland card off the top, in case someone wants to try this in a colored Shop list.
That seems like an expensive card when trying "chain off" with Mystic Forge. You could bring down the CMC of the deck by running 4 Karn, the Great Creator and run the Mycosynth Lattice in the sideboard (as well as the 4th Mystic Forge).
Hey, if there is a Karn, the Great Creator out does this work on any spell? Is that a route to look at? Maybe in Eldrazi?
Your Karn? No, only artifacts and colorless nonlands. Their Karn? No, only artifacts and colorless nonlands, and you can no longer clear the top card with Mystic Forge's activated ability.
@anonymous I don't think this works, unfortunately. Even though it's a colorless spell on the stack, the card itself needs to be either an artifact or a colorless non-land card. If it was an artifact land with morph I think it would work.
The podcast episode discussed why my interaction works.
