Lol, that's true. Skullclamp allows drawing cards and keep playing spells, increasing life in the process. Add a bad card as Ashnod's Altar and you have 3 cards and not-yet-a-combo. Seriously, I won't go for an infinite combo here, but life is a resource and there are cards that can exploit that. Not to mention the instant win condition factor.

Well of lost Dreams? Paradoxical Outcome and a bunch of zero drops? There has to be something FUN you can do with this... right?
Is there some way in all of vintage's card pool to gain a bazillion life easily (= reliably by turn 3-4)? If you just have 4x this + some combination of 30 cards aimed at finding it and/or gaining tons of life then you have a deck. Note they help each other out in multiples. Is there some reliable artifact-based way to gain tons of life? I've never known a workshop deck that had that as a goal so can't think of anything off the top of my head but this + workshops + incidental life gain could be a thing. Is there a card that's like, "Sac X artifacts: you gain X times 2 life" or something? If so could soft-prison them then just win eventually with this.

Metalworker + Staff of Domination will make infinite mana, gain infinite life, and draw all the cards you need to win with this. Of course, doing those things will let you win with anything else too.
Ok dudes so what you do is play every zero cost artifact and draw seven imaginable, plus hurkly"s but also that new blue card that lets you return junk to your hand to draw cards. You slap down like six or seven moxen then bounce them (after floating one hundred mana) then draw a bunch and replay them, repeat as much as possible, then do this thing here with the fifty life and it's ggs.

I have rolled over the life counter on MTGO using Myr and Tomb of the Spirit Dragon... in tribal wars... but not Vintage. Just a thought though.

Crucible - Zuran Orb - Fastbond is the one that comes to mind, but needs a restricted card.
Crucible is playable off a shop though, and Orb can up your spell count when played, maybe not even needing the combo depending on what else you have.
I don't think Shops is the way to go with this though, I think trinkets and wheels might be better. 5 mox, lotus, LED, Lotus Petal x Mox opals, 4 trinket mages, Wheel, Timetwister, windfall, brainstorm, ancestral, treasure cruise, DDT, probabaly some other stuff in there. This is a deck that could arguably play Mishras bauble well. Once you are at 50 life and have the thing in play you don't need to win on the spot. You can pop baubles, wait until next turn to draw your cards and then activate.
How about this + Etherium Sculptor / Foundry Inspector + 2 Sensei's Divining Tops?
T1: Shops -> Foundry Inspector
Black Lotus -> Aetherflux Reservoir
Free -> Top1, tap to activate and draw, put on top
Free -> Top2, tap to activate and draw, put on top
Infinite spells. Infinite life.
Pay 50 life infinite times.
Those are also combo pieces that work really well on their own too. This could be a very nice shell.
I don't know, maybe its just me, but I think this could be the shell for new Belcher Lists. A morphboard from this to a 1 Land Belcher List comes to my mind, just siding out lands.
