And they can’t Revoker it because it’s a land!

So this is a 4 of auto in BUG(R) and GW(R) dudes right? Like 90% of the time it's 1 mana instant that can't be countered that destroys Shops (the land and the deck), Bazaar, Moxen/Crypts, Oath, Fastbond, Remora (doesn't even trigger remora!) etc etc. This is actually dumb strong, especially with any Loam efx as stated about Wrenn. Wow.

I'm getting vibes that this card is actually good enough against enough of the meta that you could craft an entire build around it, or am I way off?

Things it pairs really well with include:
          Life from the Loam
          Wrenn and Six
          Aven Mindcensor
1 spell a turn effect (As it is not a spell)

Maybe a return of g/w hatebears?

It’s worth noting they can still get duals from it. I think it’s best looked at as just versatile, uncounterable removal that’s also a land (can be used as mana or recurred with Loam/Wrenn)

I think a good Diamond, Loam deck is already possible in Vintage and this card would definitely take it to a new level. I wouldn’t build a deck around Boseiju though. I mean it’s just a ‘Disenchant’. Those Loam decks have a lot of other things going for them, Boseiju would just be a welcomed addition to their arsenal

@lienielsen I think there's a big difference between disenchant and this. This is actually closer to creeping mold, but for just 1G. It's a 2 mana instant, but uncounterable. Shops and Bazaar decks also usually don't have lands with a basic land type, so it's an uncounterable, 2 mana stone rain there. Also being totally immune to sphere effects is huge in the shops matchup.

I definitely think this IS worth building around - I can't see oath being able to stick their namesake card, vault/key being able to be activated, or bazaar/shops decks standing a chance outside of a nut draw. FoV was already good, and this may put the nail in that coffin. Even tapping for mana and entering untapped? This card is just sick.

@thewhitedragon69 Because land is so recurrable I also wonder if there isn't a world where against decks that play duals, you just keep targeting them over and over again until they run out of things to fetch, decks that run fetches generally only run like what 7-10 fetchable targets? You back that up with some strip and wastes and some of the greedier decks in the format are going to run out of steam real quick.

If feels like a Null rod deck sorta card to me all things told.

@protoaddict I'm envisioning GRW with loam, Wrenn, rod, Karn, thalia, arbiter, aven mindcensor, FoV...maybe even just GW dropping wrenn and going 4x loam. With Arbiter, you could go with 9 strips (strip, 4x waste, 4x ghost quarter). Would just be a total mana hosing deck that blows up artifacts and enchantments repeatedly and wins with 2/x bear beats.

In the decks that would run this it's not even 2 CMC its 1 "most" of the time. Between Thalia, Thalia 2.0, Leovold, and a plethora of other legos used in GW dudes I'm probably not thinking of (Gaddock Teeg come back? Don't need FoV with this now do we?).

Also, as far as just recurring to remove duals from opps deck until they are out of mana, 4 of these, wastes, strip, and Dr. Shaman to eat said destroyed lands sounds like a very viable option.

@protoaddict I have been out of the Vintage scene for years, but this seems objectively correct.

It's a non-ETB land that is a un-counterable Disenchant when you need it. That seems stupid, stupid good, and if it were not for Mentor, I'd wonder why White bothers to exist at all anymore.

I wonder, though, will Stifle make a comeback now that this monstrosity is online?

This might be the best card printed since MH2. It very notably dodges spheres and will usually cost just G in the decks that play it. The fact its an etb untapped land is simply extraordinary.

Probably Force of Will level of interaction. A staple in any green deck

@botvinik The card is bonkers in a format that loves powerful artifacts, lands, and enchantments. It's basically uncounterable and instant speed and adds mana when you don't need to blow something up. It only even gives them a dual land out of the deal in a fraction of cases as you're usually hitting a Workshop or Bazaar. Even if you're axing an oath of druids or time vault, giving them a land is negligible for the exchange. This card is even better than FoV in my opinion, and that card was FoW-level warping.

It’s a different card but probably in the same tier. It’s like comparing Force of Will and Urza’s Saga

Imagine for a moment how good DPS would be if force didn't exist. Force is the gate that holds back the monsters.
