That winning Eldrazi list is SICK! The white splash for Thalia and friends is amazing. No Workshops puts this list squarely in the "budget" category for me (even though it is powered) it looks like it could be run competitively with Sol Ring, Mana crypt and Mana Vault. If I had to play sanctioned Vintage tomorrow this would be what I would try to run.

            Thanks for posting!

Very cool deck. I don't know a lot of those cards, but would love to find a Legend creature that has a "come into play" effect that would synergize with the MD Karakas.

@joshuabrooks It does not fit the eldrazi shell (despite having a similar effect to Thought -Knot) but Vendillion Clique is a legend.

Glad you enjoyed the decks and the LCV coverage as much as we do playing in it 🙂

I just went 3-1 with the Eldrazi list. I lost a close one to Oath with great draws. It was a very impressive list. Of course, I cut a Mimic to go to 60 cards.

Played this in the same daily after brewing it independent of Oscar over the weekend. Of course I promptly ran into Rich R1 and got crushed.

                          SB: 1 Umezawa's Jitte
                          SB: 2 Path to Exile

Really like the deck, but hate playing Stompy mirrors in this format even more.

Not sure the blue splash was worth it, but the 3rd color is pretty free when you play the painlands to generate colorless. I think Reflector Mage is better than Ingot Chewer, though going heavier on Eldrazi like Oscar did is a huge edge in the mirror. I lost both my matches because I was playing a smaller, less explosive version of my opponents' decks.

I didn't realize you came up with this on your own Wappla. I had assumed you copied the list here like I did. Our matches were interesting and yes, having more giant monsters is a huge edge in the mirror.

I liked the deck a lot. I kept wanting more moxen, and wished I had mana crypt. How was running full moxen for you?

Path sure was strong out if the board. Was man o war ++ actually good for you? He looks a bit weak for Vintage, but we do live in strange times these says.

@The-Atog-Lord yeah I spent part of Saturday night watching Todd Stevens stream his Bant Eldrazi Modern deck and put it together yesterday after a copy of that made top 8 at the GP. At one point I had Dragonlord Ojutais and Trinket Mages. There is a lot of design space here.

I think full moxen is definitely correct for the same reason it's definitely correct in Workshops. Reflector Mage has been consistently good, it's won races against Delvers and bounced many a Monastery Mentor and Thing in the Ice. It's a more controlling card, while going bigger with Mimic and Endless One fights that same battle in an aggro way. The small-ball team of 4 Reflector, 4 Priest, 4 Displacer creates inevitability in long games since the team provides so much board control. Modern Eldrazi was such a menace because it was both a really fast stompy deck and had a ton of inevitability with Displacer + Drowner and Eye as a tutor. Maybe in Vintage, Mimic and Endless One and moxen compress the game so much that having a plan for the long game is less relevant.

I think Thalia and Priest (and white sb cards) are compelling reasons to experiment with Thought-Knot outside of Workshops, and I think this deck has consistently better first turns than MUD currently.

during your games, what did you name on phyrexian revoker? i mean at this point, I'm wondering if running more null rod is not the way to go...
Also, I'm quite surprised not seeing any eye of ugin in the different lists
