Hi Guys
I haven’t posted on the “new” mana drain site before so be gentle. Lol.
I wish to talk about doomsday as a deck in modern day vintage. Some pros and cons. If it’s viable. New tools that may help it. What recent restrictions have effected it. And the best strategy Doomsday decks could be adopting in modern vintage.
So to begin with what are the Pros and Cons of playing Doomsday in vintage these days?
I feel like the restriction of chalice and thorn should be a pro.
But (of course) Gush restriction certainly is a punch in the side of Doomsday.
Is the speed of other decks such as workshop aggro and paradoxical going to be to much for doomsday to handle? Perhaps some advise on speeding up doomsday combos would help remedy this? (Eg more dark rituals, etc)
I’ve seen an older list of doomsday with gifts ungiven in it (which only played 2 gush) prehapsa build like that could be the next evolution of doomsday?
Would love to hear from anyone with some constructive advice.
I will copy and paste a couple of doomsday lists I’ve been tinkering with for reference.
