Deal Me In Games presents its 5th event in the 2017 Vintage Tournament Season. The event will be hosted, as always, at Deal Me In Games on the second Saturday of October. That is October 12 starting at noon.

Come on out to Deal Me in Games to do battle for top bragging rights and great prizes. Our fifth tournament in the new series will be SaturdayOctober 12th at 12 noon.

      Here are the details:

      Who:
Jason at Deal Me In Games

      What:
      15 proxy playtest T1 tournament

      Where:
      127 East Philadelphia Ave
      Boyertown, PA 19512
      ph#: 484-415-0058

      When:
      Saturday October 14, 2017 at 12 Noon

      Why:
So we can get together and have fun playing Magic the Gathering in its best format ever for some kickass prizes. ***

      Entry:
      $30 at the door

Prize structure - $1000 total in store credit scaled from 30 entries*

      1st place: $300 store credit
      2nd place: $200 store credit
      3rd: place: $100 store credit
      4th place: $100 store credit
      5-8th: $75 store credit

The 2016 events were all a blast. But we're looking for more in 2017. That's why 2017 will see a few major changes to the Deal Me In Games schedule. First instead of hosting tournaments ever 3-4 months we are moving to 1 tournament every other month. Most tournaments will be the 2nd weekend of the month. This will typically only vary depending on pre-releases and major tournaments.

*We've had lower than expected turnout the past 2 tournaments due to last minute double bookings by other regional stores dividing up the player base. Despite this Jason has yet to scale down prize support.

***Next, the big announcement - we will track standings and participation for ALL PLAYERS thru the course of the year. At the end of the year we will be able to crown the Champion of DMiG!!! Points will be awarded each round you play - Win=3, tie=2 Loss=1. Points will accumulate throughout the the year so the more events your participate in, the more points you can accumulate. Prizes will be given at the end of the year to the top player.
These points will not have any affect on individual tournaments or prizes for each tournament. The point system and any prizes associated with it are purely a bonus to our normal structure.

The top 8 point earners will be invited to a special invitational only event at the end of the year/beginning of 2018.

Our point totals are as follows (listed alphabetically by last name):
      Leon Anton 7
      Dan Barkon 43

@hierarchnoble Already posted. And thank you very much for helping to spread the word. I did notice the event on facebook had a new line on set up for adding 'co-hosts' Another who is gracious enough to help spread the word had to be added there before he could share the event. I added you there just now so if you already tried to share and had problems, please feel free to try again.

2 1/2 weeks out from the next DMiG series on October 14. Just to clarify there were some rumors the date was going to change. These rumors are false. We are still on target for Oct 14th. The second Saturday of the month. The same weekend we've run every tournament on since we started last year (except maybe 1).

The players guild in bloomsburg normally has an event the first weekend. Champs is the weekend after and the last weekend is usually taken by another shop in jersey. We're happy keeping them right where they are. 🙂

1 1/2 weeks to go. Come and get your final Vintage tournament in before champs. Tune those decks and bring your A-game. Get ready to rumble. Be prepared. And any other cheesy clichés you can think of. But get your butts down to Deal Me in Games on October 14th!!!

Congratulations to William Dayton for bringing in top honors at Deal Me In Games today. We had 22 people show up to flip cards today with a finals being a Shops mirror between 2 seasoned shops veterans - Will and Josh Barkon. Will took the finals match. Then about 10 of us ran out for dinner at Durangos across the street. Of course they were too busy so we ran down the road about 15 mins to Red Lobster (who was also too busy so we went for Mexican). Long story short, i was going to get the final standings and round by round breakdown after dinner. But since we ended up nowhere near the shop, that didn't happen. I'll have a tournament report, meta breakdown and updated season standings later this week!
