      Notes: Team Serious is hosting this Vintage tournament in conjunction with Kidforce Collectibles. If you need to car pool to Berea (in the Cleveland area), please post your needs on our Facebook Event page and we'll find someone whom you can travel with. Decklists will be published for the top 4 or top 8. To save time, consider typing or writing up your decklist before arriving.

      Playtest cards will be permitted. There are THREE ways of making playtest cards:

      Using Basic Land: The first and most basic is taking a basic land card and writing the details of the card on it.
      Altering an existing card: PREFERRED! The second method is to use a card that shares some of the characteristics with the card that you want to make as a Playtest Card and remove any characteristics that do not match, replacing them with the correct characteristics. Methods for doing this can be found on Youtube.com.
      Printed Slips: the third is to print out all 75 cards, and slip the cuts sheets of paper into each sleeve. If you do this, every card must be printed on the same type of paper and have a basic land backing.

      The Vintage format lives on broken cards, and I see no reason why there shouldn't be broken cards that benefit my particular deck of choice to an inordinate degree. I mean, that's only fair.

          Curious if the Team Serious Opens allow CE and ICE cards if proper sleeves (even double-sleeves ?) are used? I'm putting together a 93/94 deck using the Eternal Central rules and would be interested in maybe driving to Ohio one of these times for some proxy vintage action as well. Given the cost of vintage, the only deck I have built is Dredge with 2 Bazzars proxied, and then Jaco-Drazi. thanks...

            Yes, CE and ICE are fine for proxies. I've been thinking about re-writing the boilerplate to be a bit more specific for cases like that.

            The next event is 7/22 in Sandusky, OH. There should be a post going up soon.

              @mediumsteve Official rules state cards square corners are not tournament legal...WOTC has made their stance on proxies last year as well.

                The official rules are for sanctioned tournaments. These are not sanctioned tournaments.

                  @mediumsteve WOTC made their stance on playtest cards aka proxies. CE/IE cards are not included as acceptable proxies. Only authentic cards with standard MTG backs with whatever card you are proxying written on the front is acceptable.

                    @HouseOfCards You are just trolling right? Come on now dude...Wizards made follow-up comments in order to "call off the wolves" right after that...

                      @HouseOfCards That isn't true either. http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/news/proxies-policy-and-communication-2016-01-14

                        @mediumsteve That's great, I now have all the CE Power so opens up my options quite a bit. Just never was a fan of the writing on the cards for myself...
