Can we take a moment to appreciate how baller the shrapnel blast list is? It's amazing.

I was playing 2 card muddy and lost to legion of doom in the final swiss round... what a match.

g1 I made a huge ballista and got too cocky. my life got a bit low from mana crypt flips and he domed me for 11 from doom engine+shrapnel blast that he found from the bazaar+squee engine he had going. if I had been playing better there might have been a better line, or if I had been lucky and won 1 more flip I would have had it.

g2 I had a turn 1 win with leyline, helm, and 5 mana.

g3 he had t1 daretti off lotus, t2 weld back in lotus, do a bunch of nonsense and then play null rod. pretty hard to beat that!

The Vintage format lives on broken cards, and I see no reason why there shouldn't be broken cards that benefit my particular deck of choice to an inordinate degree. I mean, that's only fair.

@Naixin I absolutely second this. What a great looking deck! Is this just a one off or legit strategy for significant further consideration?

I think another team serious member invented Legion of Doom and has tested and played it in various forms for a while. It can do some nutty things but it's pretty inconsistent. Gearhulk helps it a bit but it's an expensive card.

If you want my take it's not a great deck, but it is a fun deck and it has some blowout draws for sure. It is resilient against null rod but welder loses to other things (ballista, revoker).
