      I

      @smmenen
      I totally agree for the full 12 force list but I'm testing lessor # of forces + lesser # of powders with more accelerant (wraith & probe). 4 may still be the right # of powders but it also may be worth giving up a little consistency for more speed/evasion in the current meta. Atleast that's what I'm exploring.

      Do you guys have any advice for me? I know that @vaughnbros and @BlindTherapy have both already given me some, but if any of you guys have any more suggestions I would be more than happy to hear them.

      @serracollector said in Bazaars in Dredge:

      Well if we are talking any number, then a deck of say 30 bazaars and 30 bloodghast would be about as optimal as they get right?

      Maybe some version with 4 ghast, 4 hollow one, 4 brw, 4 nether shadow, 4 riftstone to turn mana on?

      @oestrus it’s typically not used, and it’s very situational. I mainly put it on the list as an additional option for people to consider. You are correct that dread returning it doesn’t really do much in the short term at all, and hard casting it would be very difficult. I actually haven’t tried it out myself either, but it has enough going for it that I felt it deserved at least some mention. I have seen it used a couple times in Dredge/Reanimator lists. But I’m thinking it’s more of a niche card that only works in certain builds and is very very situational.

      Great write-up as usual. I feel the ability to attack from different angles from the sideboard has allowed dredge to return to the fold. You can't just count on going all in on graveyard hate and winning games 2 and 3. It makes for interesting matches. I've found myself wanting to keep in things I used to board out (such as artifact hate to deal with Hollow One). I could board in my graveyard hate and get hit with a 20/20 flyer instead. I used to dislike dredge. Dredge is interesting now.

      @BlindTherapy yea that definitely makes sense. It is a compounded problem. It doesn't look like they're long for my list. I'm only running 3 Ichorid in the list so they def aren't maxed. I want to play test with some prized Amalgam as well. Also interested to see if Hollow ones make any sort of impact on dredge lists.

      @poxeveryturn said in Dredge going into Summer 2017:

      @rikter I know that. I was just pointing it out as another option. I wasn't trying to say it was better than cafe. It obviously is well behind cage, priest, and RIP as some of the top tier options. Lol

      I don't think we're mad that you brought it up (at least I'm not), it's an interesting card and worth thinking about, I just don't think it could ever be viable.

      Structurally, the only reason the card would be worth running over Rest in Peace would be if you have Delve spells (because whatever your opponent is doing to send creatures to the graveyard could be shut down entirely by RIP) but in that instance you would probably prefer Cage or Containment Priest anyway. So far as I can tell, there's no niche for this card

      His deck was the only one I did not want in the top8 playing DPS.
      Also Squee Tech was amazing.

      Being able to remove the PA to the Force of will and Unmask makes its pretty great for pitch dredge, its removable to ichord and returns off the narcomeba it manages a lot of versatile could see its as a 2 of in any pitching dredge list.

      Agreed, Balance is a two mana mind twist vs blue that has other applications. I'm sleaving it up.
