Adrià (Necropotenza here in the forum) and myself left the Mana Infinito project early December and we are no longer taking care of the video coverage and editing of all the audiovisual material.  As far as I know, there is no intention to follow up with these tasks anymore.

Sorry for this!

Like the look of the BUG Fish/Tempo list - or rather, it looks rather interesting and discussion-worthy. No basics, no Wasteland, no Daze, 4 Abrupt Decay, Dimir Cutpurse (old school!) and going up to a fourth colour in the sideboard....oooof! If Francisco a TMD member it would be great to hear the rationale for those choices. I'm guessing from the mainstream Flusterstorms/Missteps the rest of the field was blue- rather than Workshop heavy.

Having played various BUG lists lately and therefore testing the above mentioned, I can tell you that it is indeed very good. It definitely wants at least 1 basic land, though. Not sure why he didn't include one. Dimir Cutpurse has been, hmm, interesting, but I haven't done enough testing to conclude anything on it really. Abrupt Decay is amazing, I can tell you.

@StanleyAugust: Yeah - as far as I can figure from that list, running the 4 Abrupt Decays helps clear a path for Cutpurse - and I guess you have a chance they will discard lands that keep feeding your Shamans (in the absence of running Wasteland). I

I know the jury is still very much out on it, but I could almost imagine Nightveil Specter in that slot.

All in all, looks an interesting deck. I would be tempted to run Demonic Consultation somewhere in the list, probably over Vampiric - but with all that extra draw from the Cutpurses, I guess it works fine.

Piña does not have a TMD account. However, I have passed him your requests and he will try to provide an answer during the weekend so I can translate it and upload it here.

Hope this helps.

PeAch, can you ask to Piña if he had considered Tarmogoyf in his deck?

I've been wondering about this - but I think the cool thing about Abrupt Decay (and Deathrite Shaman) is that it actually liberates you from playing Tarmos - like you can weaken them with Shaman, or Decay them away and get on with playing other disruptive beats instead, something Fish decks have secretly always wanted to do but were unable to justify since Tarmo's printing.

What were the top 8 pairings?

I ignore most of them, but Carles Miñón says in his report that he paired against Toni Anaya (Grixis control) in Top8, Adria Romero (MUD) in Top4 and obv Alex Delgado (bomberman) in the final.

Here is the report, in spanish:

First post updated with decklists #9 to 16 published along with meta breakdown.

Thanks once again to Roger Riera for the superfast update of all relevant information (decklists and meta).

The Catalan Vintage League (LCV) owes him soooooo much regarding this Smile

@RenatoAmado, @Titodelmonte, and @ StanleyAugust:

Here is Piña answer to your comments regarding the deck (he does not have a TMD account):

Quote
On the manabase. The base has been designed to take into account the double costs, thus the basic lands do not have any space here. Neither do the waste effects have any room. The reasoning is simple: if I open with Shaman I have 2 mana available on the second turn in almost any case. If I open with a waste effect I lose a whole needed turn. Moreover, despite not playing full power, a lot of time I have 3 mana available on the second turn. This allows for a 2 drop with disruption or a good 3 drop.

My creature configuration proved itself really good after the tournament. On the Tarmo issue, it´s not a heavy hitter and its just a big vanilla creature.  Why Dimir? It´s a second turn trump versus a lot of decks. The card advantage it provides is huge.

The 4th color on the sideboard is due to the fact that the deck really suffers versus Mud style decks, so red makes the deck much more competitive versus the archetype.

If you have any further comment, I will pass him the comments.

Hope this helps Smile
